Okay, so lately we have seen alot non-pet classes taming rares and other pets in 1 or 2 goes, whilst there are many with lvl 10 taming who have failed 10, 20 or 30 times more than this amount (some, even more so).
So, what if hypothetically (because I know it won't be implemented even if every single rappelz player favoured the idea) taming was removed from all non-pet classes?
Then, still you could say "Ah well, Mr Turtles, whats to stop me just making a R2 pet class, then I can still laugh at all of you when I tame again with lvl 1 taming?". Answer: Make taming a single lvl skill, obtained at 2nd job, jlvl 40.
That means lvl 1 / 1 taming would have the same chance as lvl 10 taming, but it would only be available to pet classes who have put some effort into achieving their tames.
I'm aware its relatively easy to make a jlvl 40 pet class nowdays, what with the WQ, but maybe it would make all those 10 +6 tamers out their cry a little less inside.
Edit: Im not a tamer, never have been, never will be. Rarely even let others make tames for me.
